Project
Soar is an open-world exploration game built for PC and consoles, with the unique ability to morph from a human to a dragon and vice versa, giving endless chances at discovering something new in its vast world. It is still under development.
Developing levels for this game was uniquely challenging as the player could move with 360 degrees of motion, this required levels to be thought of from every angle while also using geometry to encourage the player to explore on foot as well as flying. Some of these images are or were pending environment art.
Responsibilities
* Prototyped levels from the ground up using primitives for prospective collaboration with team mates
* World/lore building using level structure and layout
* Used levels to not only compliment movement mechanics, but drive level dependent gameplay to add intrigue
* Tested and trialed new mechanics, made revisions where needed
* Directed Asset creation, promoted to Environment Director
* Contributed to narrative design
