Project
BoxByte is a 3D Action-Arcade title that was developed by my husband and I, which we released on Ouya and itch.io. The player must change their color to match the 'Bytes' that scatter throughout the level, in order to collect them. As the player progresses, they are met by increasing difficulty, variety, and adversity through changing level mechanics with assistance from powerups. These require the player learn the way that the level itself interacts with Box and the Bytes. The powerups change gameplay tactics as well, dependent on the nature of the one they receive, and could be a double-edged sword.
